TDA2HG: TDA2x Expected Life-span and Recommendation of use for TDA2x,3x and 4x

Hi. I am using TI products for vision applications. I want to upgrade my old hardware, based on DM64x, with ADAS series (TDA2x).

do you see this product(TDA2x) to be in market for next, say, 10-15 years?

Also, what are your recommendations for selection from TDA2x,3x and 4x. (I personally prefer TDA2x for its rich-set of resources).

Hi Bilal,

Yes, these products are expected to be on the market for several years.

Without understanding your design it would be difficult to comment on the best device for your migration from DM64x to TDA family.

This will be a discussion that involves cost, strategy and also design decisions should be taken offline with your TI Field/Sales counterparts.

Bilal,

It can be done in two ways - someone from your company would already be in touch with TI Marketing and Sales teams - you can initiate the discussion in that way.

I am really sorry to tell you that A rep contacted me on 4th Feb, we had exchange of emails but he has not co-operated the way I expected a TI resource to be. (I have attached email history)

Only longevity was answered. But Power Consumption (The main Reason to contact Offline) is still un-answered.

Plz do the needful, to assist in the activity progress in a smooth way.

For which specific part number are you expecting power consumption?

Power consumption will need a lot of work on your side - you need to have the usecase loading for various cores and then derive the power numbers. Has all of that been done?

Power consumption for TDA2x is required.

The use-cases provided along-with TDA2xEVM have been run and their power numbers are displayed on screen (also recorded). Is there any other work required?

The custom use-case development is in-process by our software team.
