Linux/AM5749:Hands on with QT

Hello support,

I use am5749(custom board) ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am57xx-evm-06.03.00.106 and ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-06.03.00.106.

The problem is: How to add kit in QT.

Here you have good Instruction in section: 5.2.8. Hands on with QT but it is for am335x processor with old SDK how about this one?

Where is qt5 directory in 06.03.00.106 SDK: /home/sitara/AM335x/ti-processor-sdk-linux-<machine>-<sdk version>/linux-devkit/sysroots/x86_64-arago-linux/usr/bin/qt5

Which version of Qt creator do you recommend for 06.03.00.106 SDK?

How to add kit's... I mean qmake and compiler ...

Hello,

Are you still facing this issue? In general QT should work the same on am57x and am335x.

You can also try following steps to get qmake.

Follow the guide here:

https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/docs/latest/linux/Overview_Building_the_SDK.html

After following initial step, for SDK build, use meta-toolchain-arago-tisdk target instead of arago-base-tisdk-image.

Your build command should be:

MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake meta-toolchain-arago-tisdk.

After successful build, follow these steps (assuming you are in build folder):
cd arago-tmp-external-arm-glibc/deploy/sdk/
chmod a+x arago-<toolchain>-tisdk.sh
./arago-<toolchain>-tisdk.sh

<toolchain> is the toolchain config used for the build. There should be only one of these.

This should install the sysroot in the directory that you entered when prompted. This sysroot should contain qmake.
