OMAP-L138: L138 software warm reset

According to L138 document, the Warm Reset is initiated by bringing only RESET pin low (TRST is maintained high through a warm reset). Those procedure is to trigger the warm reset from external input.

Do you know if I can initiate the internal warm reset from SW procedure?

The purpose I want to use the warm reset are the following features:

Warm Reset is given below:
· All internal logic (except for the emulation logic and the PLL logic) is reset to its default state
· Internal memory is maintained through a warm reset
· The RTC peripheral is not reset during a warm reset. A software sequence is required to reset the RTC

It seem like the provided link suggest using the watchdog reset. According to the link info, the watchdog timeout reset will initiate a Power on Reset. Thus it reset the entire internal logic of the device, this implies resetting the DDR2/mDDR controller configuration registers, and the clocks to memory controller and memory itself will be reset?

Any SW internal control option other than using external gpio to pull RESET pin low and maintain TRST high to trigger warm reset?

While not necessarily intended for any specific use-case, please see if the PLL SWRST works for your use-case

You will find it in the OMAPL138 TRM in the PLL chapter

8.3.4 PLLC0 Reset Control Register (RSCTRL)

While it should not reset and likely not impact internal memory, I do think you will need to reinitialize DDR.
