Compiler/TDA4VM: RTOS sdk or Linux SDK

I want to develop ADAS on TDA4VM with new camera (maybe the driver is not included in SDK) .

I want to add new driver to the board.

Is it OK to compile RTOS SDK only？

Is Linux SDK necessary? That means : if I compile RTOS SDK only, without compile Linux SDK, can I add new driver for TDA4VM?

Hi,

You can use only PSDKRA (RTOS SDK) and you need to download pre-built linux binaries ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-07_01_00_11-prebuilt.tar.gz.

In RTOS sdk, inside PDK you can find all drivers (Driver path: ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-07_01_00_11/pdk_jacinto_07_01_00_45/packages/ti/drv/).

You can follow https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-rtos-jacinto7/latest/exports/docs/vision_apps/docs/user_guide/ENVIRONMENT_SETUP.html. If you download pre-built binaries then you don't need to download and no need to compile Linux SDK.
