Part Number: AM3352
Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler
Hi,
We are interested in changing to the latest compiler and library versions. Currently we use (Linaro GCC 5.3-2016.02). Below are some questions. Could you please help answer:
- Do we have to use only the recommended version of the compiler & LIBC versions that come along with the SDK? We are interested in moving as close to latest release of GCC, for security purposes as well as hardware support for the processor’s built in memory breakpoint technology.
- Could you help us know what restrictions if any would be imposed by the kernel (something like - we need to configure toolchain with some specific options as required by Linux kernel to run on AM3352)?
- Will there be any support issue in case we report issues with the drivers/kernel after using the cross compiler toolchain generated by us?
Regards,
Fariya
