Dear TI team,
We are experiencing an issue by which we are not able to automatically recover the system after PORZ is asserted LOW.
We have a uC connected to the TDA2p and in some situations we would like to keep the TDA in reset state but with all supply rails in nominal voltage. When we want to wake it up again, we release PORZ pin (assert it HIGH) but the TDA gets stuck (it doesn't even attempt to read the flash). We can only recover it by running the complete power-up sequence.
From your errata i862 Reset Should Use PORz, I understand that we should always do a reset through PORZ instead of using resetn pin. Additionally in section 3.5.2.2 Occurrence of your TRM, PORZ is referred as a reset pin dependent of the power supply.
- Does this mean that if we pull down PORZ we need to go through the complete power-up sequence again?
I'd like to know if there is any possibility to hold the device in reset for certain time and then release it, without going though the complete power-up sequence.
BR,
Vicent
