WIFI OMAP3530 Android Packet Loss Issue

Hi I have build and loaded the Wifi drivers on to OMAP 3530 Android target platform as per the link below: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Android_wireless_build_and_porting_guide I am able to connect to networks but the issue is 70-80% packet loss. Is that I am missing anything, any hints ? I even have done Wifi TX BIP calibration and loaded NVS file. I will be thankful for your valuable inputs, as how to make WIFI work without packet loss. WiiFi support is newly added to TI Android DevKit. Extensive performance analysis is not yet done.

Do you see packet loss only with android or in linux too?

We are seeing the packet losses (80%) in Android and we have not tried in Linux. 80% is almost equal to not working state. Is it something to do with calibration? We tried to calibrating on different channel. But no improvement.

I suggest that you try this with linux too. This would help isolate if this is a driver issue or android issue.

Unfortunately, the Linux image is not with me. Is it something to do with SDIO settings? Because now, I am not loading the SDIO driver.

We found that having a combined SDIO and wifi driver resulted in a better system stability in android on our evm. But as mentioned previously, we have not yet done any extensive testing.

We would recommend that you first verify wifi operation and performance on linux before moving to android.

Sample linux filesystem is available with the Linux PSP package. You can use that as your starting point.

Just to understand the problem better, Can you throw some light on relation between SDIO and WiFi?

Now I modified the following:
1. Loaded new F/W (349) and Driver (149).
2. Set the following param in tiwlan.ini
    dot11PowerMode = 1, defaultPowerLevel = 1, PowerSavePowerLevel = 1

and tried. But no improvement. Do you want me to do any other specific test? I will try with Linux Image and update.
