DM36x 3M@20FPS H264 encode issue

Hi all,

Based on DM368 and supported dvsdk_2_10_01_18(H264 codec version is 02.00.00.09),

I set codec parameter encQuality=2 to use Platinum mode,

frame rate is about 19 FPS, but incorrect compressed result were created as below,

so I tried to switch to lower mode setting(encQuality=0),

the compressed frames are correct, but the frame rate is dropped to about 13 FPS.

all of h264 parms. set-up are here 5126.parms.txt

so how to meet the requirement of correct 3M@20FPS H264 encode?

Hi Charles,

We tried to reproduce it in standalone test app, but could not.

Can you please migrate to 02.01.00.09 version. You can get encoder from http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/codecs/DM36x/index_FDS.html link. latest 02.10.xx.xx encoder supports upto 4096x4096 resolution and many more new features.

The parameter file looks fine, pls migrate to the new codec, we can take the disucssion from there if the issue still exists.

Dear Yashwant and Veeranna,

thanks a lot for your helpful suggestion ,

i have tried the new version of codec and add some new features added parameters

it could achieve nearly 3M@19FPS.
