Using AM3517 experimeter board...
Well, I got bold and finally attempted to flash a new jffs2 file system to NAND on my am3517 SoM. I followed the instructions in
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:_AM35x_EVM_Software_Setup#Rebuilding_the_JFFS2_File-System_Image
along with those in
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:_AM35x_EVM_Additional_Procedures#Flashing_the_Pre-built.2Frebuilt_NAND_Flash_File_System
It failed with my customized file system. I got JFFS2 errors about bad inodes and the warning to "expect badness..." Don't have the details anymore, but decided to go back to where I was (was using filesys flashed at factory) by flashing the TI-supplied filesys image (<>/AM35x-OMAP35x-PSP-SDK-03.00.01.06/images/fs/am3517/rootfs.jffs2)
Flashing in either case seems to go OK. Here are messages now using the TI default filesys (and kernel). note that midway thru there are some "jffs2_scan_eraseblock()"
and then everything goes to heck near the end of the boot. ( Note: not connected to DHCP server so those errors expected. ) Obviously with getty crashing, I don't get a login prompt ever.
Any suggestions?
