Hi,

I'm doing some very first steps with the AM5729 and BeagleBone AI. At the moment I can create a related project for this compiler in CCS to build some code for this platform.

Now the question is: where to start, or better how to get into it? Is there some kind of board support package available which allows direct bare-metal programming without any OS involved?

And how about some simple examples (e.g. a timer which lets one of the user-LEDs blinks slowly)?

Could anybody push me into the right direction so that I ca start with this?

Please follow the getting started guide. You will find the instructions to build and run example with TI RTOS on AM57xx EVM.

Thanks for your feedback but this is not exactly what I'm looking for. RTOS seems to be an own OS with all its overhead. What I'm looking for is a possibility to directly access the hardware, means to do some real bare-metal programming without any Operating System involved. Isn't this possible any more?

And by the way: it looks like this SDK does not contain any definitions for the BeageBone AI?

In the Processor SDK RTOS, you can find PDK which include CSL (chip support library) which is baremetal code to access hardware block on AM5729.

Beagle Bone AI board (board specific definition like pin mux) is supported by Processor SDK Linux, not RTOS.

However, AM5729 SoC is supported by RTOS SDK.
