TDA4 switch multicast frame support problem

We test Ethernet multicast in SDK7.0 and failed.(frame sent by mcu domain, not captured by A72 in main domain and other port of CPSW-9G) . we want to know if switch in TDA4 support Ethernet multicast or not? if not, when this feature can be supported?

Hi,

Multicast frame reception by multiple cores is not supported for CPSW 9G but it should be possible to receive it on a single core. Can you explain your test setup and what changes you made to the code ?

Hi, Vineet

The network connection is shown as below. We enable VLAN, the three ports of MCU A72 and PC are in one VLAN, because they can ping each other successfully. The Multicast frame is sent by MCU domain, the frame can not be received from both on PC and A72.

There is no change in our code

Sorry for the delay.

Multicast support is not available on CPSW 9G. The support is planned tentatively in Nov-Dec 2021.
