TDA4VM: Does TDA4 support 4ch H.264 encoding?

Hello,

We need to encode 4CH x1080p with 15fps. TDA4x encoder can support it?

I found "Only two simultaneous channels are supported with the current memory carveout setup for Video Codecs" in TI MM H.264 Encoder User Guide.

Could you give more detail guide for four simultaneous channels?

Hi Wilson,

Yes, as documented in the user guide, currently TDA4 SDK is being tested for max of 2x1080p encodes, because of the limited memory carveout available for video drivers.

However, technically it is possible to do 4x1080p @ 15 fps with increased memory carveout for video driver.

Please follow the SDK user guide on how to change the default memory map.
