TDA4VM: ATF/TEE disable

Hello,

I'm trying to reduce boot time with TDA4VM.

I will not use the trustzone, so I want to disable ATF and TEE.

I found a thread says that ATF need to be loaded to initialize GIC.

Is it still true with TDA4VM at the last version of SDK?

Hi Reuben,

That is the case in the current SDK and that will be the case in future SDKs as well.
ATF is there for not just GIC initialization but also runtime secure features. So please
do not tread the path of disabling ATF/OPTEE.

I understood about ATF and will not disable it.

You explained how to bypass OPTEE in the thread has the original question.

In the other hand, you told me not to disable OPTEE in this thread, so I am confused.

Can I disable OPTEE, if I don't use trustzone?

I believe that is what you are referring to & yes disabling OPTEE should be fine using the mentioned commands in the above post.

Your query also mentioned disabling ATF hence the answer was not to disable that.
