Do you pick up backup boot media for kernel rootfs or boot itself happesn from SD?
Have you done a saveenv on your u-boot prompt? If not please try that.

Also set dip switch settings should be for eMMC alone without any backup enabled.

On TI-EVM: SW8: 10000000 SW9: 01000000

There is no issue with the board. PFA the logs for cold boot sequence.

Seeing uboot from MMC1 on cold boot and MMC2 on warm reboot.

I am not saying it is a board issue. All i am asking is if in your board dip switch settings have you enabled
SD-MMC as the back up boot mode?

On Reboot in case of eMMC boot the RoM code should try only booting from eMMC mode. Since your
logs show booting from MMC2(SD) upon reboot i am wondering if you Dip switch settings enable
back up boot mode?

Good to know that emmc warmboot works for you. Did you enable the eMMC_RSTn reset signal flag on the emmc card.

As i mentioned earlier our power and boot blocks are same as EVK. Since this field is one Time programmable need to check if this is required in TI Architecture boot flow.

Can you provide output of the emmc register on working setup:
