TMS320C6678: MPEG2 encoder

Hello experts,

From this link, we can download the document about MPEG2 encoder on TMS320C6678.

But, some past E2E thread said that TI does not support MPEG2 encoder software.

I'm not clear what is correct. So, could you give me answer for these questions?

Q. Is it possible to use TMS320C6678 for MPEG2 encoder?

Q. If possible, customer need to ask 3rd party for MPEG2 encoder development?

Hello Akashi-san

Yes these codecs are supported for c6678 *however* support for these will completely need to be managed by the third party.

The third party supporting these codecs (at least a few years back ) are CouthIT and Path Partner.

I understand these codecs are supported for CC6678 but it is supported by third party.
