Image tuning tools - Is it really good?

I tried to use Image Tuning Tools (in APPRO IPNC 2.x) for IPNC DM368. And after using this tool, I found that I’m so confused about this tool. Almost settings and parameters which I set have bad effects on IPNCamera (sometime IPNC became darker after applying new parameters).

 And another problem, IPNC’s current parameters is all zero when I get them using Tuning Tool.

Is there anyone used this tool?

Is this tool really necessary for improving image quality on IPNC? Is it really good?
