CSL is included as port of the BIOS Platform Support Package here is a link for C6742/C6746/C6748
Thanks Drew. Do you know where I can find the examples code for usage of McASP and EDMA3? I downloaded the PSP install which has example code, but that does not seem to be complete.
thanks

There are several posts about using the McASP with EDMA3 that can be referenced in the OMAP-L1x forum, however I don't know of any McASP/EDMA combination examples.
I did develop and McASPEcho Project which is available in the quickStartOMAPL1x_rCSL project. It utilizes interrupts, however there are other EDMA examples in the same project which you reference as well to set up the EDMA3.
I would recommend verifying you can rebuild the McASPEcho project, and then adding in the EDMA3 code. It should be a fairly simple addition to make.
Thanks Drew. I have made a little more progress on this over the weekend. Now I need to add the PSP to my BIOS. I am using BIOS 6.30.0.18 . This is a Linux distribution. How do I install the new PSP on Linux machine?
thanks

SYS/BIOS 6.30 isn't a Linux distribution. It's based off of Real Time Software Components (RTSC) Eclipse project, however the package itself can be pulled into CCSv4 on a Windows machine. Alternatively you can also still use DSP/BIOS 5.x if you are more familiar with this version of BIOS.
Hi Drew,
I got the Linux distribution from http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/bios/sysbios/6_31_00_18/index_FDS.html? So what do you mean it is not a a Linux distribution?
thanks

I think I may have confused you when I said it wasn't a Linux Distribution.
SYS/BIOS is a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) that was developed by TI years ago. The RTOS is not a variant of the Linux Kernal, but is a kernel itself. The binary package that you can download for Linux is a library that you can link against to build a SYS/BIOS program within a linux build environment.
So yes it is a 'distribution of SYS/BIOS' for the Linux Build Environment, but it is not a 'Linux Distribution' in and of itself. Does this clear things up?
Thanks Drew,
That indeed clears things up. So similarly I am looking for BIOS PSP that I can link in Linux build environment. I cannot move to BIOS 5.x.
thanks
