AM3505 LARGE LCD SUPPORT

I understand that the AM3505 supports up to 24-bit TFT LCD control with a parallel interface. However, the bigger color LCD's (>10.4" VGA or higher resolution) are now requiring an LVDS control interface. Looking at some of these display's, it appears the LVDS control interface contains 1 differential pair of clock and 4 differential pairs of serial data.

Can any advise if the AM3505 can be used to control these LCD's with an LVDS interface? Or would this require an external LCD controller?

I think SN75LVDS83 family of devices is the right stuff to look at. Thy are just serializers and as such should work without additional controller or specific software. I have seen it on a customer application but don't have schematics right now. I think it was also mentioned on some of our wiki pages about display interfaces.

Just to add... This wiki page has both schematics and PCB files for an LVDS interface for the OMAP35xx EVM too.
