TDA2SX: PRCM power consumption

Part Number: TDA2SX

Hi Expert,

https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/processors-forum/749362/am5748-power-consumption-spike-on-move-from-am5728-to-am5748

Does it mean that enable or disable PRCM MODULE  will always be consuming leakage power even if they are not clocked?

Is the same power consumption for PMHAL_PRCM_MODULE_MODE_DISABLED and PMHAL_PRCM_MODULE_MODE_AUTO?

Thanks

Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

The PRCM module handles the device resets, clock, etc. It is always on and I'm not sure why you would want to turn it off..

without knowing exactly I would say power consumption would be pretty close regardless of the state as this is always ON.

    Thanks,

    Alec
