DRA821U: How to get linux-devkit.sh for new SDK?

Dear Expert.

in previous SDK, for example, LINUX SDK 06_02_00_07, there is one script, linux-devkit.sh, in the installation path. this script will setup the required toolchain in the linux-devkit directory.

in new SDK, for example, LINUX SDK 07_02_00_08, this script disappeared and a built-in linux-devkit directory created.

Local customer said their development environment is designed to support different SOC. to isolate the toolchain between different SOCs, they think previous script is good way to manage the toolchain. So they wants to know if TI can provide similar script for new SDK.

Hi Yong,

The previous method (linux-devkit.sh) was just extracting the contents into the linux-devkit directory and now it comes fully expanded during the installation.

Unless I'm missing a particular type of usage, both should be the same.

The customer should download the SDK for the DRA821U : https://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-J7200 and this is for the DRA821U.

I would like to understand further if this can work and if not please capture the exact issue with the new SDK and provide further details.

yes, they has downloaded the latest SDK for DRA821U, ti-processor-sdk-linux-j7200-evm-07_02_00_08-Linux-x86-Install.bin .

the request from customer is that they need the previous method in new SDK. do we have any suggestion to meet their request? thank you so much~

Like I already described, both the methods are the same unless I'm missing some information. Please discuss with customer and try to provide details and we can discuss.
