Support for SD card specification SD 2.0, SD 3.0 and DDR200

Hi,

I would like to know whether TI has any processor which can support below requirements of the SD card

1. Support for SD card specification SD 2.0, SD 3.0 and DDR200

2. support low voltage mode [LVS]

3. support booting as per SD 3.0 specification

Thanks,

Zaki

  • Can you be more specific what you mean with your references to SD 2.0, SD 3.0, and DDR200.  I'm not familiar with these references in the context of SD Card Specifications. If SD 2.0 and SD 3.0 is a reference to a standard or specification, please provide the complete name of the document in question.

I'm somewhat familiar with LVS card types as defined in the SD Card Low Voltage Interface Addendum. It has been about 18 -24 months since reaching out to one of my contacts at a major SD Card manufacture, where I ask about availability of LVS cards. I was told their product roadmap did not include a need for these cards since there were no devices on the market with host controllers that support this function. Therefore, we have not explored our options of supporting this function on new processors. I'm fairy certain none of the host controllers being used in TI processors available today support the hand shake required during the LVS identification sequence. Are you aware of any LVS cards that are available for purchase today?
