TDA4VM: powerup sequence

Hi sir,

I will use TDA4VM in my project.

I 'am trying to understand the execution flow, i mean the power up sequence,
like as soon as the processor is powered which core is first powered or execution starts from which core?
is there any application notes which i can refer to have more understanding on the powerup sequence?

I went through Chapter 4 (Initialization) still I'm not clear with the Normal Boot sequence and the MCU only boot sequence. Because my doubt is I'm majorly concentrating on the MCU Island, to program that is it required to initialize the other cores?
And is it required set up the Linux environment for MCU island as well ? because as far as i understood to run the SDK's we need linux.

No, it is not required to initialize other cores. You can use the SBL (Secondary Boot Loader) - https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-rtos-jacinto7/07_03_00_07/exports/docs/pdk_jacinto_07_03_00_29/docs/userguide/jacinto/boot/boot_k3.html to boot only the MCU R5F.

No need to setup Linux too. Linux would run on A72 if you want to run that.

So essentially you can use the SBL to just boot MCU1_0 which is the MCU R5F. Also, SBL itself runs on MCU1_0.
