Hi,

on a DRA821 SOM/CP board setup with latest PSDK Linux 7.2, i am getting the following message every few seconds

[ 8547.002952] am65-cpsw-nuss 46000000.ethernet eth0: Link is Down
[ 8548.031143] am65-cpsw-nuss 46000000.ethernet eth0: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full - flow control off
[ 8562.362966] am65-cpsw-nuss 46000000.ethernet eth0: Link is Down
[ 8563.387058] am65-cpsw-nuss 46000000.ethernet eth0: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full - flow control off
[ 8643.257590] am65-cpsw-nuss 46000000.ethernet eth0: Link is Down
[ 8644.281501] am65-cpsw-nuss 46000000.ethernet eth0: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full - flow control off

The MCU_ENET port is connected and works functionally.

What is the issue with that port, that it takes the link down and then up again right away?

Hi Gunter,

Is this stock SDK ? Any change you made ? I don't recall seeing any issues with the SDK.

Maybe it's board specific or link specific ? Can you try by changing the link partner and board separately.

Hi Vineet,

this is the stock SDK 7.2 with prebuilt images for kernel/uboot/filesystem.

Our customer is seeing the same with SDK7.2 on their board.

Interestingly, the same board, but with SDK7.1 works fine without having this issue.

Is there an issue with SDK7.2 kernel?

I see it too. I will file a bug and root cause.

If it's fixed in 7.3 then would it be a critical issue for you or customer ?

I also confirmed that the issue is not there in 7.3. This closes the issue as the customer can move forward with 7.3.
