AM3356: Inquiry about RTC: " Year 2038 problem"

Hello Miyazaki,

In Linux, the base kernel needs to be updated to be y2038 compatible before the rest of the software can be updated.

Pavel's post from 2015 includes some helpful articles that give context for what the effort to update Linux looks like:

Linux kernel 4.19 was not written to be compatible with 2038, so Linux SDK 6.3 might run into issues if it is run without updates after 2038.

It looks like Linux kernel 5.6 and later should allow 32 bit systems to run past 2038:

The thread author also mentioned backporting their changes to Linux kernel 5.4.

We are releasing an AM335x SDK with Linux kernel 5.4 later this year. I need to do more research to see
1) Does that SDK have the backported 2038 updates?
2) Are there other changes that would be required?

Would you have conclusion that it is possible to release AM335x SDK (Linux kernel 5.4) with solution of 2038 problem ?

At the moment, it does not look like the AM335x SDK with Linux kernel 5.4 will have the y2038 patches. If I hear new information, I will update the thread.
