Develop WIFI chipset DSP/BIOS6 device driver

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

Dear all,

I have a problem which is , TI does not provide DSP/BIOS WIFI device driver , it just provide it as linux device driver

even for its WIFI chipset. Iam now thinking about develop DSP/BIOS wifi device driver for a WIFI chipset not TI

I want to know an estimation regarding the amount of work, also  is there something i can reuse in order not to make it from scratch

or for example , i can use the existing linux device driver source code and modify/port it to be used by DSP/BIOS6 , is that possible ??

  • Which SoC device would you like the WiFi driver for? Which WiFi device would you like? We currently do not have plans for this in the near term, but I will discuss with business managers to see if it could get prioritized.

    Mark

  • I use OMAP-L138 , and I use CSR WIFI chipset http://www.csr.com.

The WIFI stack should be run on the ARM as we plan to use DSP/BIOS6 on the ARM but we could not able to find DSP/BIOS device driver provided by TI

only linux exist that why iam forced right now to use linux on the ARM instead of BIOS6

Please return to me when you check with your managers as soon as possible.

    Thank you,

    Hossam
