Unused Pins - AM3703

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3703

Hello,

Do I have to configure the unused pins on AM3703 in safe mode or any other particular mode? Is there a design guidelines/best practice document?

Thanks,

Radomir

  • These sections in the schematic checklist would be a good guideline.

  • Thank you for the clue. It helps, but doesn't adress my concerns.

I am not sure whether my question makes sense, because this is my first experience with AM3703 and TI. Here is a list of the unused pins on our CUS 423-ball package:

     F9     V2     AC22     N4
     B19     D2     AC23     N3
     C20     F4     V21     M5
     K4     G5     J23     M4
     K3     F3     K23     Y7
     K2     G4     F21     AA6
     J4     W2     G21     AC1
     J3     L1     N22     AD3
     J2     C2     P24     AD6
     J1     G22     V6     AC6
     H1     E22     V5     AC7
     H2     F22     W7     AD8
     G2     J21     W6     AC5
     R2     AC19     AC2     AD2
     T2     AD20     V7     AC8
     U1     AC20     A23     AD9
     R3     AD21     B23     AC10
     T3     AC21     A24     AD11
     U2     E24     R5     AC11
     V1     F23     N5     AD12

    Thanks again!

  • It's not easy for me to tell what these are from the ball name but if you are not using these pins and the pins support the safe mode, you could put them in the safe mode. In the safe mode, the pin is configured as input and is not connected to any internal logic.

  • Thank you!

I think this answers my question.
