TDA4VM: How to stream camera video to linux?

Hi,

As answered in original thread, there is no CSI_RX driver for linux.

But there are a lot of benefits if we can bring camera stream to linux. Such as many video application & utils can works with TDA4's camera video.

So does Ti have a plan to develop linux camera driver for TDA4VM?

If does, then in which version of PSDKL will be implemented?

If not, can you supply some guide steps or documents to develop TDA4VM camera driver for linux?

Hi Yang,

One solution is to use Capture OpenVX Node and get the data on A72/Linux and then can be used for the other purpose, would that be useable?

Yes. But why not add a camera driver for Linux by Ti officially?

Many Ti's users will be benefitted, since it's a public/generic driver from Ti.

Hi Yang,

As per current plan, CSIRX driver in Linux would be supported in SDK8.1 release.
