TDA4VM: QNX + RTOS

Part Number: TDA4VM

How to build QNX environment for tda4vm?

About the user guide :https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-rtos-jacinto7/latest/exports/docs/vision_apps/docs/user_guide/ENVIRONMENT_SETUP.html

For QNX :

Step 2b: Download and Install PSDK QNX addon to run in QNX+RTOS mode (Optional, only needed for QNX+RTOS mode)

Is it means that download the related software such as SDP, bsp and then install these software on Linux? So create the QNX environment on Linux system?

Can I set up the QNX environment on Windows? And how?

  • Hi Guoxon,

The build environment for the TI SDK for QNX, is supported on Linux environment only.

If only a Windows machine is available a Linux VM can be used.

In regards to the documentation for 2b), let me try to give some context

    1. PSDK RTOS is a separate package and download/installation.
    2. Once PSDK RTOS is installed, you can use it for a Linux Based solution or a QNX based solution
    3. 2b) above is providing the steps to add in the content for a QNX based solution.

In either case whether building for Linux or QNX to be run on the target, a Linux host environment is required.
