A problem about C6416 when reading from EMIFA

Hi

I've been using C6416 these days.I connected the EMIFA to FPGA and EMIFB to the FLASH.what's unfortunate is that everytime when i read from EMIFA the XDS560 Emulator would be disconnected, altough  writing operation is ok. Later, i tried to read and write via EMIFB, and no problem was found. Is there anybody could tell me how to settle this problem?

thanks a lots!

  • Hi,

    this could potentially be cross-talk.

Please check your TDI, TDO, TMS, TCLK, /TRST signals using a scope and see if those look clean during your EMIFA read access.

  • thanks a lots for your advice.I'll check it tomorrow。

However, I downloaded another logic file to the FPGA, witch i have only the netlist file, and read  the EMIFA successfully. Because of that, i doubt that the problem hide in my logic code.

On my board, configration pins, such as BEABEA[20:13, 11, 9:7] and CLKMODE[1:0],  are pulled up or down by external registers, and the interface between FPGA and DSP only include the EMIFA bus, four EXT_INTn pins and some GP pins. Do the GP pins have something to do with configration?

    Kind regards
