Hi Bard,
A few questions to clarify the best TI Wi-Fi part.
1. Is this projector a portable mini projector that uses batteries, or is it a line-powered device?
2. When you mention "Android 9", do they mean that they want to have Android 9 run on the SoC, or they want to be able to connect to an Android device using BT and Wi-Fi?
3. Does the customer already have a processor that will do the 1080p decoding, or does that have to be done through the SoC we provide?
I'm thinking that if the customer wants to run Android on a SoC + BT + Wi-Fi solution we provide, the solution will look like a AM65x device with a WL1837. The WL1837 has the needed Wi-Fi features + BT and BLE support.

Michael
Hi Bard,

Battery 3 hours after full charging.
2. When you mention "Android 9", do they mean that they want to have Android 9 run on the SoC, or they want to be able to connect to an Android device using BT and Wi-Fi?
Customer expect the SoC can run Android 9.
3. Does the customer already have a processor that will do the 1080p decoding, or does that have to be done through the SoC we provide?
Customer hope SoC can finish this task.

Hi,
For Wi-Fi, using the WL1837 still makes sense given the info provided. Do note that this will result in a two-chip solution, one for Wi-Fi + BT and one for the man MPU.
I will reassign this thread to the processors team, who can assist with the MPU selection.

Hello Bard,
Currently, we do not support Android on our devices. I would recommend checking with third party for further support and here is the link: https://witekio.com/software-accelerators/board-support-package-bsp-development/. The Jacinto team has Android SDK available for several devices:
1. https://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM57X
2. https://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM65X
