I am redesigning my AM3517 based HMI panel to be battery powered. I will be using a 3.7v Li-ion battery. My question is...what should I do the "AC" pin? I currently have it connected to 5V. I see the two "BAT" pins for charging but not sure about the AC pin.

Hello Dave,

I don't think AM3517 has pin name with "AC" or "BAT". Are you referring the pin name of PMIC or some reference board ?

That was my mistake. I was referring to the TPS650732 PMIC from TI. I've sinced learned that I do NOT need the battery hooked up to the "AC" pin on the PMIC.

Logic PD release their new Wattson software for the AM3517 EVM today which will help you see actual power consumption across all power rails on the CPU and SOM design. There is an adapter required to connect to the PC available from this website: http://createnewstuff.webs.com/breakoutboardwattson.htm
