AM6548: How to configure EEPROM?

Hi Ti,

We are trying to use CAT24C16 on our own EVM board.

We found there is a CAT24C256W I2C EEPROM on AM65xEVM and tried to find related settings.

However, we cannot find any settings on dts, and only Kconfig "EEPROM_AT24" for this.

Is there any settings in dts file?

We already add a rtc setting for i2c as below.

Could you let us know how to do this modification?

Hi Eric,

We have never enabled this on DTS on our SDK.

So am quoting example from a different dts source file:

&i2c1 {
        status = "okay";

        eeprom: eeprom@50 {
                compatible = "atmel,24c16";
                reg = <0x50>;
                pagesize = <16>;
        };
};

File: arch/arm/boot/dts/sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime2.dts

You need to get that node under the right i2c bus am not sure if it is main_i2c0 or different.

You need to replace the reg and eeprom@50 by your slave ID of the CAT24C256W device.
Config as you have seen is enabled.

Try that out.
