U-Boot & SATA

Hello,

I've new custom L138 -based board with SPI-FLASH, I2C-EEPROM and SATA-SSD. I would very much like to boot system from either FLASH or EEPROM with AIS including U-Boot which would then initialize kernel and file system from SSD.

Does U-Boot from mcsdk_1_01_00_02/board-support/u-boot-2012.04.01-psp03.22.00.06.sdk support SATA? Is there excisting L138-U-Boot supporting SATA or how do you recommend this to be realized?

Hi,
By default, SATA support is not available in u-boot source, we have to enable.
Let me check and will update.

Hi,

Apologize for the delayed response and thanks for the following up.

As I said earlier, we don't have SATA support in our SDK for u-boot.

You can try to enable the SATA by declaring and enabling the SATA driver.

CONFIG_SYS_ATA_BASE_ADDR
CONFIG_SYS_ATA_IDE0_OFFSET
CONFIG_SYS_ATA_IDE1_OFFSET

We have to enable "sata" command also.

"sata init"
