Hi,

I have a AM4376 based custom board.

I have an application it will send data to cloud.

If I want to run the application automatically once boot up is complete, where I have to add the application entry.

SDK Details:

ti-processor-sdk-linux-am437x-evm-03.03.00.04-Linux-x86-Install.bin

LINUX :

linux-4.4.41+gitAUTOINC+f9f6f0db2d-gf9f6f0db2d

u-boot :

u-boot-2016.05+gitAUTOINC+4db46a6bbd-g4db46a6bbd

Thank you for your fast reply

my application is "c executable " and it 's name is cloud_connector

based on the below info

"You should modify the etc/init.d/matrix-gui-2.0 within <Processor SDK>/filesystem/tisdk-rootfs-image-am335x-evm.tar.xz rootfs. "

I have to create a new file cloud_connector file in etc/init.d/ and from that file I have to call my application[./usr/bin/cloud_connector &]

Is my understanding is right ?

Yes, but doing in this way it will be in SystemV style as described here.
I would suggest you to use the newer SustemD stye as explained in this post.

I created one file iotgw.service file in /lib/systemd/system/

root@am437x-evm:/lib/systemd/system# cat iotgw.service
[Unit]
Description=InitIoTGW
After=network.target

[Service]
ExecStart=/etc/init.d/iotgw_led
StandardOutput=journal+console

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

But still this executable is not started.
Could you please help us to resolve the issue

Does the /etc/init.d/iotgw_led have executable permissions? Have you execute the systemctl daemon-reload and systemctl enable iotgw.service commands? Check the journalctl | grep InitIoTGW to see why the service doesn't start.

It is working .
Once we run the below commands and rebooted, next boot onwards it is working
systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl enable iotgw.service

Is there any way to make these commands also automatic.
because for my device getting console is difficult.

Please help to resolve the above issue.

You have to run these commands once.
