Linux/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: Using the processor as SPI Slave

Hello,

I am working on developing a system with the am335x processor running linux but it will not be the primary processor on the board. Primary will be the 6748. For this reason we want to have it connected as a SPI slave.

Is this possible while running linux? Are there any examples that can be used to create the drivers?

Hi Shaun,

AM335x Linux driver support only master mode.

Shaun,

No, I am not aware of such plans. What I can recall is that SPI slave driver depends on the master device (which can vary) and can not be made generic, slave driver should be specific (at least to some extend) and that is the main reason we do not have it in your PSDK.
