Part Number: AM5726
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM5728,
Hi,
I am trying to debug a .c66 file on my C66 DSP. We are using a Custom AM5726 Board which was designed based on a AM5728 EVM Rev A3 board. There are two main differences: there is no EEPROM on board and we are using a different RAM. I had previously made some changes to U-boot and we have a working image that successfully boots to Linux Kernel. However, I cannot connect to the DSP via my XDS 200 debugger.
On AM5728 EVM, I used to connect to A15_0 and load up a GEL file to initialize the RAM and DSP clock. Then I would connect to the DSP and load up my .c66 file. This does not work for my custom board, and I am guessing this is because the GEL files are not properly configured.
How can I connect to my DSP and debug it? What is the proper way of initializing the RAM and DSP clock for custom boards? Should I change my GEL files or is there an easier way? If re-configuring the GEL files is the easiest way, what changes should I make? Is there a guide to do this? I can share all the changes I have made to my U-boot image if that helps.
Thanks for your support,
