AFE7950EVM: - Is it possible to drive a GPIO Pins using the Latte software

Part Number: AFE7950EVM

Hi,

Is it possible to drive a GPIO Pins (for example: G12 or P10) high (1.8V) or low (GND) using the Latte software?

The steps I have used to initalize the AFE are as followed: setup.py, devInit.py, map GPIO P10 to a known 1.8V level, run TI_IP_16Gbps_configLmk_1.py

Thanks,

Hao Wang

  • Hi Hao,

It's not possible to drive GPIO pins to static high (1.8V) or low (0V). GPIO pins can only be mapped to GPIO functions like 'ADC_SYNC0', 'RX_NCOSEL_0', etc.

'RXAB1P8V_CLK' is not a valid GPIO function.

List of all supported GPIO functions is given in section '10.3 GPIO Config' in 'AFE79xx_ConfigurationGuide_SBAA417' PDF document available in AFE79xx secure folder. Secure folder can be accessed here: www.ti.com/mysecuresoftware

    Regards,
