AFE7950EVM: AFE7950EVM Program configuration

Part Number: AFE7950EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSW14J58EVM, AFE7950

Tool/software:

Dear TI team,

The two devices are TSW14J58EVM and AFE7950EVM.

Recently, I encountered a problem when connecting the device. When I connected the AFE7950EVM to the computer, the computer would display the "USB device cannot be recognized" prompt, and the other two ports would not appear this prompt. The connection indicator of the AFE7950 would light up, but I felt that the brightness of the indicator was not as big as before, due to the connection problem, I can't use latte properly. What could possibly be wrong with this? Hope to get your answer soon.

Thank you very much!

All the best!

  • Hi Zhu,

When connecting are you going through a USB hub or directly to the PC? Our recommendation is to connect directly to the PC as we have seen many issues with different USB hubs.

Have you also tried a different USB cable in case that is the issue?

  • Hi,

When I connected, I connected the device directly to the PC and did not use a hub. In addition, I also changed different cables and tried different USB ports on the PC. The issue with the AFE7950 port still exists.I also tried another PC to test the port, but the port of AFE7950 was still unrecognizable, and everything was normal for other ports.

  • Hi Zhu,

One thing you can do is check if you can see the AFE EVM in device manager. Also, if you look at the USB connector on the EVM are you able to see any issues, such as the connector being pulled off and some pins not being connected?

    Regards,
