IWR6843AOP: How to dynamic update calibration data(compRangeBiasAndRxChanPhase) when programming

 I think the question is about we are doing the "Range Bias and Rx Channel Gain/Phase Measurement and Compensation" calibration on IWR6843AOP per SDK document below, (not the self calibration by "rlRfCalibDataStore" and/or "rlRfCalibDataRestore" functions)

 However, due to we don't have the host MCU to store and send the cfg file (IWR6843AOP is the only SoC on PCB) to send to IWR6843AOP.

Are there any methods suggested to do? Is adding external EEPROM doable and how to?

It seems if we hard code the compensation data into cli.c, then it means we need to compile different codes for different PCBs, which doesn't make sense during production.

This kind of Cal routine would need to be added to your software at desired intervals/states.

This routine is discussed more in this User Guide in section titled Prerequisite 3.

     Customer asks about how to store calibrated result since they don't have host processor to store cfg file.  They are using hard coding method to initial cfg parameters which the hard coding parameters are located in a table.  However, they can not specific fixed table address in SPI Flash after using multicore image generator. 

They need a way to store calibrated result in production line.

     Since our multicores image generator can't not  reserve a specific area of Flash for calibration data, it's looks like store calibration result in EEPROM is an alternative. Or any other way to reserve a area (fixed address) and  access SPI flash during run time?

      Normally we can use linker command file to assign a fixed address, and size to reserve a space of Flash memory to keep calibration data.

However, IWR6843 has multicore so you need to combine BSS, MSS, and DSS image together to generate a single image for QSPI FLASH.

Unfortunately, Multicore image generator can not specified  the offset of  QSPI FLASH for MSS,DSS and BSS. So the final reserved area for calibration data will not be fixed.

      If  multicore image generator can assign fixed offset for each images, thing will become very easy. From  previous e2e thread, look like we don't have plan to support this feature.

     If you have a way to accomplish it, please let us know.
