Part Number: MMWCAS-DSP-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWCAS-RF-EVM

Hi,

I'm using MMWCAS-DSP-EVM board alone without cascading

-RF-EVM board. when I'm trying to boot the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM board I'm facing booting issue. Can I use MMWCAS-DSP-EVM board alone? If I can use means can anyone suggest me how to rectify the issue? I'm attaching the boot logs below.

  • Hello Venkata,

    What is the purpose of your experiment? The MMWCAS-DSP evaluation module (EVM) design provides a processing foundation for a cascaded imaging radar system. For proper evaluation of MMWCAS-DSP-EVM, one other board is required -  the mmWave cascaded imaging radar RF evaluation module (MMWCAS-RF-EVM). Without the MMWCAS-RF-EVM, you won't be able to able transmit or receive chirps.

    Now coming to the boot up, the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM should alteast boot up (power on LED + a few others) as soon as you provide power using a 12V/5A source.

    Are you not able to see the LEDs glow? Can you send a picture of the board when booted up?

    Regards,

    Ishita

  • Hello Ishita,

    I able to see the LED's turning on. I solved the issue by changing

    from

    MAKECONFIG=tda2xx_evm_linux_all

    to

    MAKECONFIG=tda2xx_cascade_linux_radar

    and I changed from fdtfile=dra7-evm-infoadas.dtb to fdtfile=dra7-cascaderadar-infoadas.dtb in uenv.txt file in /boot directory in SD card.
