IWR6843: 3d People counting elevation split (increase and decrease) as the object move away from radar

Part Number: IWR6843

Dear TI,

We have custom antenna IWR6843 device, that can run OOB demo without any problem (and radiation pattern is similar to the TI one, albeit gain and directivity is higher (11 dBi instead of 9 dBi),hence beam is narrower) . But when we run 3d People counting with mounted on wall configuration, with the sensor height is 1.5m, the height of the people decrease as the person move away from the device. Another information that maybe useful is while we see most of the person point (cloud) height is decreasing when moving away from device, the height some  of point from higher position (as we think from head area) will increase instead. Do you have any Idea why this problem is happening? For sure, the antenna beam is not splitted in the Z(height) direction.Thank you very much.

Sincerely yours,

Wolfgang
