IWR1443BOOST: experiencing issue while using level sensing reference design TIDEP-0091

I am currently attempting to the IWR1443Boost ES3.0 with the MSP432P401R as explained in the level sensing reference design TIDEP-0091. I have flashed both devices exactly as shown in the reference and am able to wake and sleep the radar successfully, however when I try to calibrate or take a measurement I get an error. I have followed the hardware instruction in the guide and am at a loss of what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Brennan,

Thank you for the assistance I think it worked but I'm not sure. I held down the GPIO1 and retried calibrating the radar. It began to calibrate but failed again with an unknown error. Do you have any advice on what could be causing this new problem? This is at least an improvement over what it was doing previously however. Thank you!

Daniel,

This is a problem usually associated with the hardware modifications needed for this TI Design.

Please ensure that you have followed all of the hardware mods in the Reference Design Guide.

Turns out one of the connections between the MSP and IWR was not connected correctly and after fixing this and holding down the GPIO1 it worked correctly. Thank you for your help!

I know this is the wrong thread but do you know if it is possible to perform a multi-peak detection by modifying the design files? If you could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Daniel,

I'm glad its working for you. In its given form, the TIDEP-0091 software averages the radar RX data range FFT, and the top 3 magnitude bins are searched for to send to the host processor. An example output of a measurement looks like the following:

If by "multi-peak" you mean something else, please open a new thread to discuss this matter.
