PGA302: OWI Activation Pulse Requirement

Part Number: PGA302

Hello,

Is there a way to configure the EEPROM so that an OWI activation pulse (above 6.8V) is not needed on subsequent use?

Thus after programming, the PGA302 would default to OWI and work with an OWI 5 volt master that lacks the higher voltage pulse (above 6.8V) activation capability.

Implementation is for a legacy OWI device that would only access the digital ADC data registers from EEPROM.

The device does not support I2C communication or voltage out measurements.

Thank You

  • Hi Dean,

There is no method to permanently enable the OWI transceiver at this time. You would at least need to send an initial OWI activation pulse and hold the PGA302 in reset mode to be able to read raw ADC values. Also, please note that compensated data is not available digitally, and is only output via the VOUT DAC as a ratiometric voltage.

    Regards,
    Scott
