It seems from this post one community member successfully run the "4 AWR1243 Capture + Radar Object Detect (DSP) (MIMO) + Null" use case. I have no idea how the calibration CC.mat was created.

Thanks! I tried it again. However, ProcessorSDKRadar_UserGuide.pdf doesn't give the steps to generate CC.mat on page 34 or page 35. 

Here are my steps. 

(1) I think enter "c", the CC.mat should be generated. 

(2) It showed me "Calibration setting (<numFrames> <rangeStarBin> <rangeEndBin>)"  and asked me to input some other info like below. 

I tried several times and had no idea what I should input here to make it work. Could you give me some suggestions?

Hi Hang,

What I understood from the documentation that you need

C:\PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_08_00_00\vision_sdk\apps\src\rtos\radar\src\usecases\cascade_radar_object_detect\radar_cascade_demo.m matlab file capture the OP_SECTION_DATATYPE_CALIBRATION_COEFFS coefficient to a file cc.mat. This cc..mat file needs to flash to SDCARD

And this calibration data is being sent out from device to PC over ethernet to Matlab script when 'Control calibration' CLI command is selected in the command prompt.

Make sure that you are able to send any other input to this command prompt first.

Thank you very much! I have successfully generated the CC.mat file. 

However, after converted it to calib_coef.bin file and copied it to the SD card. I still can not get plots with pointclouds.

I guess this is because I did not set  the parameter correctly "Calibration setting (<numFrames> <rangeStartBin> <rangeEndBin>)"

The Processor SDK - Radar User Guide did not talk about setting these parameters. 

Could you give me some hints on what values I should use for "<numFrames> <rangeStartBin> <rangeEndBin>", respectively?

Yes, I tried mmwave studio with TDA in this post. The heatmap plot mean sense to me. However, the point cloud plot does not make sense to me. 

So that's why I want to know some suggestions on setting "<numFrames> <rangeStartBin> <rangeEndBin>" parameters. In ProcessorSDKRadar_UserGuide.pdf, it didn't talk about it.

Just a update on this. I made it work on generating CC.mat with commands "10 <space> 0 <space> 255 <enter>" after choosing "Control Calibration". I used a corner reflector at 5 meters away from the radar for calibration. 

I still have problems on the Range-Azimuth plot, range-Doppler heatmap worked.
