Hi,

I'm using IWR6843AOP device and i could flash the software and also execute one of the labs but suddenly I'm unable to connect to the hardware and getting the error as shown in the attached screenshot. Could you please help me out what is the issue? (in device manager all the ports are detected as expected)

I'm using windows and have enabled virtualization in BIOS to use Ubuntu VM. Will this affect?

Hello,

One simple question just to make sure, under "Plots" did you data stop showing up when the port disconnected?

If no data is showing up in the plot and you are seeing this "connecting...", your DATA COM port may be busy elsewhere. Do you have any teraterm windows up or other programs which could be keeping the COM port on the windows machine?

I removed the hardware connections on both sides and it fixed the issue.

Also the device is kind of sporadic and its taking alot of time in conencting the data port. Do you what can be the reason for it?

Can you describe what you mean by sporadic? How long is it taking to connect to the data port?

It's taking a long time and i don't know why it does not connect suddenly. From morning, I'm trying to do but unable to do it.

Hi Harish,

The dataport does not see itself has connected until it sees data when you start up for the first time. Please try sending a config file and seeing if it works.

I'm using the https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/mmwave/mmWave_Demo_Visualizer/ver/3.5.0/ to check the ports. Only one of the port connects at a time when i interchange the ports names in the configuration. After the hardware is connected, it is possible to send config to MMwave device. So, do we have any known issues inside the hardware?

No known issues, the dataport doesn't flag itself as "connected" unless it has seen data pass back to your machine from the dataport. So it doesn't show as connected until after the config is sent.
