AWR2243: How to collect RAW12 data with AWR2243

Hi Cesar,

I measure the time of one chirp and compare the result between 12 bit and 16 bit firmware, the time is same. (12 bit should have 3/4 time compared with 16 bit if it is correct.) According this result, the front end board did not send correct 12 bit data. Therefore it has nothing to do with the data-capture adaptor. My key point is how to make the front end send size 12bit data instead of 16 bit.

I think I have similar question with him but there is no help solution in this link. I also want to make my data to be 3 byte per 2 pixel (12bit) rather than 2 byte per pixel (16bit). How could I reach this goal?

Here is some additional information I have received

"When the device is configured to 12 bit mode, we use the MIPI RAW12 dataformat to send out the data. This format uses 12bits per sample. So only 12bits get sent out on the CSI lines. For example if we have 128 ADC samples, in 12bit complex ADC mode, then the data size of the CSI long packet would be 128*12*2(complex) *4 (4Rx).

Maybe the receiver is storing the received 12bit data in 16 bit format."

The 128*12*2*4 size is match to my target but I cannot get data like this. Could you give me more information about what parameters should I set to reach this target?

Hi Cesar,

I just find there is a command can over write the AdcBits. After I changed this command, the data on the oscilloscope shows the correct result. I think the front end is all good up to now. If there are more question I will let you know.
