Hi Expert

My customer have two question about full-scales:

1. I know this device Measurements is 0.01 Lux to 83k Lux, if environment like direct sun more than 83K whether damage device？  

2. in the HUD application, when the driving direction of the car is opposite to the direction of the sun, device will get lower Lux but environment light very high because diffuse earth.

so do we have any method to calibrate this error?

    Hi Meng,

    Going over saturation will not damage the device. Placing a diffuser over the sensor will widen the field of view of the device which can reduce the effect of direct sunlight on the device, but there will still be a difference in lux when facing to/away from direction of the sun. For a HUD application, it is best to place the sensor as close as possible to the display to directly compensate for the light shining on the display.
