TUSS4470: Transformer for 1mhz transducer

I use TUSS4470 with a 1mhz transducer to measure a metal tank's fuel level. I have read the topic about transducer and transformer listing given below

but in this list not see a 1mhz frequency transformer so where to source a 1mhz transformer for my application .please let me know your suggestions.

    Sorry for the delay, unfortunately I have not used TUSS4470 in transformer drive to drive a 1MHz transducer. Is there a specific reason why you are trying to use a transformer over direct drive on this device?

    my application is to measure the level of water in a 3mm to 6mm iron wall thickness tank (custom-made for a special project).I have received a clear echo from a below 0.5mm metal container but the system has no echo from the above-mentioned thickness range.

    Echo from <= 0.5mm container

    echo from <=0.5mm metal container with 100R Rdamp.

    Echo from 3mm Iron tank with 100R Rdamp .Most signals are not out fully.

    I know the above-mentioned issue and the solution from the previous forum discussion, the iron wall will significantly attenuate the ultrasonic signal for the transmit and echo return. so the only option is to use high voltage to help signal to exit.

    my transducer can support 200V peak to peak so I can apply more voltage to a transducer through a transformer. 

    from the datasheet and forum discussion I know, that tuss4470 can use to drive the transformer by external H Bridge arrangement so I decided to add a transformer to my circuit.

    In the transformer list, I have seen that the maximum transformer frequency is 300KHZ but my transducer is 1MHZ so the question is can I use this 300KHZ transformer for my 1MHZ transducer? or do I need to custom wind a transformer to my application?

    please let me know your suggestions and alternate solutions to overcome this issue.

    Thanks for the detailed info, and that is correct metal is not a great conductor of ultrasonic energy hence why you are able to see your return on the tank that is 0.5mm versus a tank that is 6 times the original thickness of the tank you tested with. 

    Using the 300kHz transformer would not yield great results since its rate for max frequency operation of 480kHz, operating outside the transformers resonant frequency might not give you the results you expect. My recommendation would be to reach out to a transformer manufacturer (Wurth, Coilcraft, or others) to see if they have any suggestions on what transformer you may use. I could not find any ultrasonic transducer rated for 1MHz specifically but there are other transformers out there rated for 1MHz operation I am just not sure if they are appropriate for this application, reaching out to the experts there would be the best solution.

    Unfortunately, if using the pre-driver mode use the internal H-bridge to drive an external H-bridge limits the transducers frequency available, this is mentioned in the features portion of the datasheet:

    You could also change the transducer frequency being used, lower frequency transducers have a better SPL since the signal will carry more energy. It will also be easier to find a transformer that is rated for the right frequency. This unfortunately will reduce your resolution in comparison to using a 1MHz transducer. You could try to get a 300kHz transducer to see if the signal travels better through the tank in that instance.
