IWR6843: Increasing the Radar output frequency to improve near-field measurement accuracy

Hi TI Radar champs

Depending on the location of the object to be detected, would it be helpful for Noise Issue to increase the output frequency as it is closer?
I wonder if it would be helpful in terms of accuracy to increase the radar output frequency as the object is closer. Please give us your opinion.

Hello Jack.

Could you clarify what you mean by the noise issue? Are you referring to the Tx-Rx coupling present in the near-field measurements?

Thanks for your kind reply.

The noise what I meant is Antenna Coupling issue regarding TX-RX coupling in near-field measurement.

The target distance of detected object is 2~3cm.

Customer asked whether the coupling problem could be reduced if they increase the radar output frequency.

Hello Jack.

The customer is welcome to try and see if the results improve. Keep in mind that you might have to modify other chirp settings to keep the configuration valid.
