AFE3010-EVM: Modifying to 240Vac

Part Number: AFE3010-EVM

EVM currently support 120V only.

To modify to support 220-240V, what changes do we make to the EVM?

- T1: Any recommendation?

- R10/R11: Need to change?

  • Hello Eddie,

In the Table 5, the BOM components that need to be compatible with a larger line voltage are described as so in the DESCRIPTION column.

Current transformers are usually rated to very high voltages, although these need to be checked with the manufacturer.

I have attached a calculator that does show how to specifically calculate the required power ratings for R1, R2, R3, R4, R8, R11, and R12. In the document I note that R11 can actually be increased to 68 kΩ (for any line voltage) and this will help reduce power dissipation required.
